Zugspitze and Eibsee

Sights

The highest mountain in Germany and one of the most beautiful lakes here. If you are looking for peace and quiet, we recommend other lakes further down: nevertheless very worth seeing and impressive and certainly worth a visit.

 

Partnach Gorge

Sights

A beautiful gorge, the hike is entertaining and exciting - even for children. Also accessible on foot from your accommodation with us. Carriage rides also possible from the Olympiaschanze. Please check the website in advance.


Can be perfectly combined with a visit to the Olympic ski jump.

Olympic ski jump

Sights

Are you familiar with the Four Hills Tournament or the New Year's Ski Jump? Here you can experience the spirit of ski jumping and take part in guided tours: Just a leisurely stroll from your accommodation.

 

Neuschwanstein Castle

The fairytale castle of King Ludwig the Second, more information here:


You will need a car for this excursion. Train connection is not optimal, but possible. From Füssen train station you need another bus or cab. Bus connections are sometimes good.


You should allow one hour one-way travel time by car.


Neuschwanstein Castle enchants many people around the world. It is beautifully enthroned in the mountains and can be seen from afar. You can combine the excursion and visit the Alpsee (directly below the castle.

Behind the castle, you can look into the Pöllat Gorge on the Marienbrücke bridge and admire the castle from a different angle.


The picturesque town of Füssen is also nearby; in summer, take a stroll through the pedestrian zone and enjoy a delicious ice cream :-)

 

Linderhof Castle

Sights

Easy to reach by bus or your own car: another of King Ludwig's castles. Have you always wanted to see the retractable dining table? You can here on a guided tour:


A really beautiful park to stroll through and explore. Certainly worth a trip. Combine this excursion with a visit to Oberammergau. The famous Passion Play takes place here every 10 years:

Therme Schwangau

Sights

You will need a car for this, approx. 60 minutes.

A nice indoor pool, even with children. With lots of pools and bubbles. Warm water for relaxing and additionally possible: sauna area (from 16 years). You can see Neuschwanstein Castle from most of the loungers and relax like royalty.


Therme Kochel: by public transport or your own car:


Very nice sauna area directly on Kochselsee. Only partially suitable for children, please have a look at the website:


Therme Schwangau is close to Füssen, always worth a visit.

Therme Kochel is close to the Walchensee power station. A nice excursion (also with children, as it's a nice museum where you can try things out) and learn a lot about hydropower.
